The world’s first feature film, “The Story of the Kelly Gang”, was shot in Australia in 1906. Only seven years later, the Central Coast was the location of “The Life of a Jackaroo” and “A Blue Gum Romance” in 1913. Since those early pioneering days, the Central Coast's rugged coastline and lush bushland have been the backdrop of movies starring Mel Gibson, David Wenham and most recently, Toni Collete in the Netflix drama series ‘Pieces of Her’.
